MOONBEAMS PARENT BABY GROUP
We are thrilled to be offering a new parent-baby group for
Madison area families for parents of babes aged 0-12mo.
What to Expect
Doors “open” at 10a, a facilitated discussion begins at 10:15a. Parents will be invited to introduce themselves, do a quick “check-in” (including time for quick crowd-sourcing questions), and give their thoughts on a topic.
Topics range from the light-hearted/helpful (“what are your favorite strategies for surviving winter?”) to the more thought-provoking (“who were the people who were most influential (besides your parents) in your childhood and who do you think will be those people for your kiddo/s?”). You are always welcome to pass on topic if you’re feeling tired/overwhelmed/nervous, etc.
Once everyone has had a chance to do check-in and discuss the topic, if there is time, there is more space for questions to the group. We wrap up formally by 11:45, but there is often time for families to continue to visit.
When: Mondays and Thursdays 10a-1145a
Where: Lumos Office, 6409 Odana Rd, Suite 11A
Who: Facilitated by Adria Canon, IBCLC and the Lumos Trio for parents of babes 0-12mo
First group always FREE
$10 for single pass
Introductory special $50 for 10 passes
Introductory special $100 for an unlimited year membership
Why: Because being a parent is awesomely hard – and worth exploring, celebrating, and commiserating within community.
The Lumos space is in Clock Tower Plaza on Odana Rd between Whitney Way and Gammon. 6409 Odana Rd plugs in beautifully to your GPS. 🙂 The building is also visible from Odana, and all of the Clock Tower buildings have a connected parking lot (and there are three entrances into the lot).
Lumos has its own entrance on the side of the building (look for the blue awning, and our Lumos signage on the door), or you can take the main entrance and we are on the left side a few doors in.
Plenty of parking in front of both entrances!
Feel free to bring in coffee, drinks, and snacks (peanut free please). We’ve got bathrooms and changing stations and filtered water – both cold and hot (so feel free to bring tea).
